Cookie & Data Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 2026

CoLi Link Ghana Limited ("we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the CoLi-Fi network to ensure network stability, provide seamless authentication, and deliver relevant local advertisements.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your smartphone, tablet, or computer when you connect to our Wi-Fi portal. They help our system recognize your device so you do not have to repeatedly log in every time you open your browser.

2. How We Use Cookies & Data

• Essential Connection Cookies: We use MAC-address binding and HTTP cookies to authenticate your device on our routers. This allows you to pause and resume your internet session smoothly.
• Security & Fraud Prevention: Temporary session cookies are used to verify that you have watched the required sponsor advertisement, preventing automated bots or unauthorized network bypasses.
• Anonymous Analytics & Targeting: To keep this Wi-Fi service free or low-cost, we collect non-personally identifiable routing data and categorized DNS query trends (e.g., categorizing traffic as "Sports" or "Education"). This helps our AI system serve localized, relevant ads. We do not track your specific browsing history or personal communications.

3. Your Consent

By clicking "Accept" on our captive portal banner, or by continuing to authenticate and use the CoLi-Fi network, you explicitly consent to the placement of these necessary network cookies and our data categorization practices.

4. Managing Cookies

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the technical operation of the captive portal and ad-authentication system, disabling them in your browser may prevent you from successfully connecting to the internet through our network.
